Abstract: | The hoverfly Eristalis rossica Stackelberg, 1958 is reported as new to Finland on the basis of one female collected by net in 2016. The specimen was found on a flowering meadow from Joutseno in southeastern Finland near the Russian border. The known distribution of Eristalis rossica includes Finland, parts of European and Siberian Russia, and Sakhalin in the Russian Far East. |
